Home Care Assistant

About ME

As a certified Health and Social Services Assistant, I go to the homes of people experiencing a loss of autonomy (temporary or permanent) to help them accomplish their daily activities and domestic tasks.

I work with elderly, mentally ou physiqually disabled people, as well as people at the end of life. I take care of their hygene, well-being and comfort. I watch over them and assist them with their general needs. I install prescribed devices and offer specific care for which I have been trained.

And that's not all! I cater to people's health and social integration using meaningfull occupational activities, such as adapted sports and outdoor activities and cultural and tourism outings.

The personal care as well as the outings and actvities are adjusted to the needs of all ages, young and old. They are offered in the Magog and Coaticook RCMs as well as the city of Sherbrooke. They are offered with respect and empathy and with a gentle touch of humour.

I'm looking forward to helping you!

TESTIMONIALS

"

Our family is extremely satisfied with the care giving services that Elisabeth has provided us. She has helped care for two family members, Colin, who has Parkinson’s disease, and Paulette, who has Alzheimer’s. Colin’s care began when he had moderate mobility problems alongside moderate dementia. But as the disease progressed over several years, the care evolved into complete bedside bathing, lifting with a crane people mover, etc. Elisabeth’s expertise in caring for a patient so severely disadvantaged with Parkinson’s allowed Colin to remain at home with his family.

Elisabeth’s care for Paulette, who has Alzheimer’s, involves engaging her in many activities alongside daily hygiene, meals, etc. Elisabeth and Paulette do jigsaw and crossword puzzles together, visit museums, take long walks, take drives to the country side to swim, etc. Paulette is so fond of Elisabeth that she frequently asks when she will see her again, even a few minutes after Elisabeth has left the house.

We cannot ask for a better person to care for our loved ones.
